The first four weeks of each Drama Club semester is devoted entirely to exploring the story of our show through Story Drama! Story Drama is founded in improvisation and allows students to explore and empathise with the characters and think imaginatively about the theme. Both the teacher and students inhabit an imaginary world, everyone is “in role”. We always use a cue or portal to enter the imaginary world. This is usually something tangible like an object, costume or verbal cue.
